Come Celebrate Our 100th Anniversary
Please join us for a gala dinner celebrating the centennial of Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning. Our event will take place at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, November 4, 2006 in the Gilbert S. Omenn Atrium of the stunning new Biomedical Sciences Research Building designed by Polshek Partnership Architects.

We will listen to songs performed by alumni/ae composed especially for the occasion and sing "Happy Birthday" to TCAUP. We will hear from the dean and the new provost, and screen a new documentary on the college; as well as honor Deans Emeriti Bob Metcalf and Bob Beckley.




Robert Metcalf FAIA
DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS AWARD
Robert Metcalf FAIA, B.Arch.A.'50 has been an important member of the college community for over half a century—as student, alumnus, faculty, and leader. Shortly after graduation, Bob joined the faculty, one which was increasingly pluralistic and enthusiastically embraced new traditions of architectural research. He served as a respected member of the faculty, as chair of the architecture program, and as dean of the College of Architecture + Urban Planning. As the architect of scores of residences, he has a reputation for design excellence and carefully crafted details.




Robert Metcalf FAIA
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
Robert Beckley FAIA has admirably served his professional community and the university, as well as local, regional, national, and international causes. Bob was very active in the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) and served several terms on its board including terms as treasurer and president. He has also served on the executive committee of the National Architectural Accrediting Board; on the White House Council on Design; the National Endowment for the Arts; the Arts Foundation of Michigan Advisory Board; and Habitat for Humanity.
TCAUP CENTENNIAL GALA DINNER

‹‹Pause›› the first of two centennial conferences. Or come to stroll the Art + Architecture Building, see the recent building improvements, and stop in the College Gallery to view 8.5 x 5.5 x 7256, an exhibition of alumni/ae work.

The cost of the dinner is $100 per person, of which $50 is a tax-deductible donation to the Centennial Travel Fund. Please make your checks payable to The University of Michigan. This fund was generously created in honor of the college's centennial by Alan (B.S.'82) and Cynthia Reavis Berkshire (A.B.'83).

Seating will be arranged by decade but if groups of classmates want to purchase a table, we'd be happy to accommodate special requests. Please call (734) 764-1340 to make arrangements.
