This year we have reserved ticket blocks for TCAUP alumni/ae to attend TWO games! As in years past, you will be able to attend the UM Homecoming Game, this year against Northwestern on October 28. We have also reserved a block of tickets for the November 4 game against Ball State since this coincides with a conference and gala dinner commemorating the College's centennial which we hope you will attend. UM Team Wins EPA P3 Award for
Sustainable Design
A team of UM students and faculty was awarded a $75,000 phase II P3 grant to continue research and development of a series of window façade prototypes. The team, which included faculty and graduate students from architecture, engineering, and natural resources, created composite panel window units constructed of a waffle framework between two layers of polycarbonate. These units have the advantages of strength and flexibility of polycarbonate and an integrated shading mechanism. The team experimented with a series of environmentally friendly materials derived from agricultural products ranging from plants grown specifically to manufacture the materials to by-products and waste materials from plants grown for other purposes.
