The following is an example of a planned program of study. Students are generally expected to meet these target completion dates for course work and other program requirements.

First + Second Year
• Completion of 39 credits of required coursework
• Submission & Approval of an Annual Program of Study Report
• Practicum

Third Year
• Completion of Preliminary Examinations
• Completion/approval of Dissertation Proposal
• Submission & Approval of an Annual Program of Study Report
• Apply for funding from outside sources

Fourth + Fifth Year (optional if needed)
• Dissertation research and writing
• Final oral defense
• Degree awarded/graduation
