7/21/08- New Version 1.3.0.6-- Minor Fixes and Feature Tweaks

An update of Syntax2D is now available with bug fixes and some feature improvements. Additionally, our source code has been re-released under the GPL open source license.

Our team is hard at work adding new features and other changes to Syntax2D. Expect a new version before the end of the year. Please check back for further updates and watch the Space Syntax mailing list for an official announcement.

Welcome!

Syntax2D is a suite of tools for urban and architectural spatial analysis developed at the University of Michigan. It currently includes the basic space syntax measures of isovists, axial maps, and visibility graphs, along with some newer features such as path-based measures.

The program and its source code are free for anyone to download and modify, provided these modifications adhere to our license agreement.

With Syntax2D, we hope to encourage the space syntax community to share and build upon each other’s efforts across a common framework.
