Dimensions / Submissions

2012 architecture graduates are encouraged to submit their Wallenberg or Thesis projects for consideration for inclusion in Dimensions, Volume 26.

Submission requirements and deadlines for the open call are listed below.

Important Dates

  • October 1 – Deadline for receipt of PDF Submission
  • October 4 – Confirmation of receipt of submission
  • October 15 – Notification of Selection Decisions
  • November 12 – Deadline for receipt of final materials from accepted contributors

Submission Requirements

To best represent your project, please provide the most relevant documentation in a single "Print Quality" PDF in any desired size, format, or number of pages. Keep in mind that this PDF will not be the final layout published in the journal and additional materials and native files will be requested upon acceptance.

Submitters are encouraged to work from their existing portfolio format that best presents their project, rather than reformatting it to another size specifically for the open call.

Submissions should include both descriptive project text (700-1300 words) and imagery of your work.

The submissions must remain anonymous, so your name must not appear anywhere within the submission PDF.

Include a text file that includes your full name and a current email address named "uniqname.txt"

PDF Submittal:

Thesis Students: "Thesis_Uniqname.pdf"
Wallenberg Students: "Wallenberg_Uniqname.pdf"

Files will be renamed anonymously before review by Dimensions 25 staff.

Files under 10 MB may be emailed to dimensions@umich.edu
Lager PDFs should be posted to a webhost and Dimensions notified of the URL; submitted via an online service, such as yousendit.com; or mailed on DVD-R to Dimensions 26 c/o Taubman College at the address below. A method of shipping with a tracking number is recommended.

Your submission will be used as a basis for the Dimensions staff to select projects for inclusion in Dimensions 26. Given the size of the actual files used for design and production, all accepted contributors should be prepared to submit their final materials – by mail only, given the file size – no later than November 12, 2012.
