BEAL AVENUE
Just a reminder about Beal Ave being a one-way.
DPS has received complaints in regards to vehicles driving the wrong way on Beal. On two occasions I have seen vehicles traveling the wrong way come face to face with UM buses full of passengers.
Please pass this on to your staff and students......The message below was sent to all communities on Feb 2, 2007.
Beal Ave one-way southbound only
Please note that Beal Avenue between Bonisteel Boulevard and Hayward Avenue is restricted to one-way southbound vehicle traffic. This applies to ALL University, commercial and personal vehicles. The only exception is emergency vehicles responding to an emergency with lights and sirens operational. This traffic pattern change was implemented in order to assist with pedestrian safety concerns through this construction area. Please use caution and low speeds especially when traveling along Beal.
