Scheduling
and Guidelines
Lasercamm sign-ups are done at noon
on
the day prior to use.
The sign-up sheet is posted in the Lasercamm room. Please
wait outside the door and enter to sign up a few people at a time to avoid
overcrowding this space.
Run an estimate for your cut time and sign up for only the time
you will need—up to a 90 minute maximum.
The Lasercamm software is available
under the "Modeling and CAD" menu on College computers.
If you are not able to make your slot please cross your name off
the list.
After a 10 minute grace period reserved slots will be opened
up and the person who had reserved the time will forfeit that day and
need to schedule at the next noon scheduling.
The webcam can show when time may be available.
Give enough time
for a person who may be briefly out of camera range to return.

about the lasercamm
TCAUP supports two CAD-driven
laser cutters that turn complicated drawings into laser cut
parts. Similar to a pen plotter, the system uses a laser
beam to cut and scribe a variety of sheet materials such
as wood, paper, and plastics into intricate patterns.
Use of the Lasercamm machines requires some training.
