Taubman College

Agora

The Agora Planning Journal is a publication of student work from the Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Design and Real Estate Certificate Programs. The journal is intended for students to share their work within Taubman College as well as with others outside the university. Taubman College encourages any and all submissions that explore and challenge issues related to planning in the good-natured spirit of a "marketplace of ideas."

Call for Submissions

Agora is a student-operated annual peer review publication of the University of Michigan. The journal traditionally publishes work from a wide range of disciplines, and is an opportunity for members of the campus community to share perspectives on a variety of urban issues, including those that affect the region, the state, and the planet. We are based in the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.

AGORA 2012: Connection

This year's edition will focus on the theme of connection. We encourage authors to submit pieces that trace the complex networks that constitute the urban environment, and draw attention to those points where connections are made. We welcome any interpretation of this theme, including those that focus on entire networks, such as transportation and infrastructure systems, those that discuss cooperative relationships, those that tie theory to practice, and those that highlight the interdisciplinary nature of urban studies.

That said, thematic submissions are NOT mandatory, and we look forward to including work on a diverse range of topics.

Please see the Submissions page for more details and how to submit your work.
